Let's go here, most people of searching, dating, wanting to be hooked up and have some love now-age: tend to be tender-hearted. And some of those people find themselves being led down dark, painful paths.

   The start of this path is usually ignorance. A portion of this path involves being lied to. However a large section of this pitiful walk down the road to guaranteed heartache, has more to do with willingly entering into non-committal relationships while not understanding what to, or not to, expect from being a part of one.

   Now i don't know if it was a farmer that came up with this gem of a saying but this has been spoken quite often and here it goes: "Why buy the cow (work at, nurture, be honest, truly considerate, be faithful, etc.) if you can get the milk for free?"

You see, most of us (yes, i include myself because I've been there) that have been so keen to pretend at marriage (or at least take full fledged advantage of everything one might do on a honeymoon) without ever fleshing out the responsibilities and verbalizing the erstwhile presumptions of a boy/man friend-girl/woman friend relationship, go-together, get together...have often found ourselves at a loss, angry, intolerable, impatient, players*, played, hurting and hurt, simply because we were not being for real in the first place!

   Now don't get me wrong. I have loved, loved, loved and really liked all of the opportunities I've ever had, well...at least the ones where i could take express advantage of. And when i couldn't have or take the upper hand, then yes, i too have come to learn: how that not everyone who's able to play, may have the cost of the equipment (required) to do so. Hearts are tender and in some scenarios, i found found out just how squishy, 'Ouch, this game hurts!' mine was too.

   So here we are today, with so many people wearing a suit of apprehension, disbelief, insecurity, selfishness, anger and the in-ability to navigate with one another. We might as well call it a war. Fortunately with just a few tweaks, it doesn't always have to be defined as such nor lived in that fashion.
